Archaeology Mini-Camps

imagesEver wanted to be an archaeologist like Indiana Jones? Here’s your chance to try it out! In this hour-long “mini-camp” with the Scott County Historical Society, you will get to discover what being an archaeologist all is about through a variety of activities. You’ll learn how to read a map and create your own, “discover” and reconstruct an artifact, and create your own “research journal” for recording all your notes and clues to take home.  Best for ages 9-12.

FREE, but space is limited and registration is required. Register online through the Scott County Library System website or by calling the library beginning on 5/16 at 10:00am.  All pioneer camps start at 2pm
