Ride On: 50 Years of valleyfair

Over the past 50 years, Valleyfair has changed significantly, especially compared to its earliest seasons. Features like the Petting Zoo, the Dancing Dolphins, and costumed characters are now part of its history, but the memories created there continue to “Ride On.”

“Ride On” will run through Fall 2026. We anticipate holding a variety of programming throughout the run of this exhibit - so keep an eye on the calendar and our social media!

People And Places

We love photos because they allow us to preserve moments in time. This gallery showcases snapshots from throughout Scott County's history, from studio portraits and weddings to candids and holiday cards, reminding us that even though Scott County's fashions, neighborhoods, and landscapes have changed over the years, the bonds of community have not.
