Born and raised in Scott County, Jenny Witt shares the story of her family connection to the Dakota War of 1862, as documented in her self-published, historical biography, “Great Many Things.” Jenny shares the evidence she uncovered based on several years of genealogical research and the accumulation of verified records such as military documents, newspaper articles and photos, which she pieced together to tell the story of her 3rd great-grandfather, Carl Witt, and his family.

Jenny will also describe how she started this research and the resources she used to complete this project, including those at the Scott County Historical Society.
