The Scott County Historical sOciety Board of Directors

In addition to a staff of three, SCHS is guided by a Board of Directors. These community members and history lovers give back to Scott County by guiding the organization in its mission to seek, save and share Scott County history.

Governing Documents

SCHS was incorporated as a 501(c)3 Nonprofit on February 5th, 1965. The original text of the Articles of Incorporation is viewable below. The SCHS Board is governed by Bylaws adopted by the Society upon its incorporation in 1965, with amendments adopted and voted on by the SCHS Membership. The most recent revision to the SCHS Bylaws, voted in at the 2021 Annual Meeting, is viewable below.
